The Röhsska Museum collection consist of over 50 000 objects. The majority of the collection consists of handicraft and design products from Sweden and Europe and arts and crafts from Japan and China. The museum also holds a very fine collection of fashion from the 20th and 21st Centuries, including many haute couture garments from Paris and other famous fashion design from all over the world. Today, the Röhsska Museum mainly collects contemporaneous material and the museum seeks to achieve a dialogue with its users on contemporary phenomena and expression. The Röhsska Museum is located in the city centre of Gothenburg along the main street "the Avenue". It is close to a wide range of shopping, restaurants and cultural activities. Welcome to the Röhsska Museum for Design, Fashion and Decorative Arts.

"The southern archipelago is beautiful, especially if the weather is nice. One needs to take the tram nr. 11 to the last stop (Saltholmen) and take a ferry to the islands. Västtrafik cards are valid. I was there on the 1st of May when it was very crowded, but still, it was a special experience. I lov..."e the beautiful Nordic seaside with stones, wooden houses etc. I visited Brännö which seemed to be (despite of the high number of visitors) like a different world - tranquility, wooden houses, sheep... Certainly worth of visiting.
