Description: In the heart of the Valpolicella region, birthplace of legendary wines such as Amarone and Valpolicella, and minutes from the city of Verona and Lake Garda, the elegant complex of Villa Mosconi lies nestled in a pocket of untouched nature, bordered by wooded slopes and beautiful vineyards. This picturesque valley was known in Roman times for its wines, its cellars, and for its clear running waters which fed the ancient aqueduct of Verona. The villa itself claims a unique place of importance in the history of winemaking. It was in these cellars in 1936 that the name "Amarone" was given to what is now considered the most respected Veronese wines in the world.

"Located in an old monastery on a hill by the river, this museum is well worth visiting. A lift takes you up the hill and you will find it hard to stop gazing at the stunning views of Verona and the steps of the Teatro Romano underneath.
The collection is not too large and has some very fine figurin..."es and mosaics. It’s also fun to walk through the ancient cloisters and look at inscriptions and fragments of columns. It’s really a most lovely place, surrounded by cypresses and other flora and really really good views of the city.

"Well work the few Euros it costs to go up the tower. There's a lift almost to the top so you don't have to walk all the way up, but if you want to go right to the top you have to climb a few more flights of stairs. The views from the top are spectacular and well worth stopping off to get a few aeria..."l photos and admire the view of the beautiful old town. If I visited again with anyone who hadn't been to Verona before this would definitely be one of my first stopping off points with them.

"As we had a reservation in Tuscany for a Chianti tour, we wanted to go in the Soave region for white wine. Nothing was happening on Sunday... The information office recommended Veronaround and it turned out great! Daniel, a local guide, is very knowledgeable and speaks many languages. We visited the..." three valley around Negrar and the Fratelli Vogadori where we enjoyed wine and olive oil tastings! Thank you Daniel!!!
