"We were a party of 40 touring the Tirol and part of the week was a day trip to the Trauttmansdorff Castle Gardens, we were so lucky the weather arrived with masses of sun and warmth, the trees were starting to bloom the flowers were in great displays. We ate in the cafe by the lake and I have to say..." although simple it was well presented by attentive staff and the costs were very reasonable. Visit the underground world and the viewing platform to extend your experience. I believe this is one attraction which you should visit month by month but for us that could be a while, because unless you do you will not see the planting change with seasons. Typically whilst there we saw orange trees, lemon trees kumquats and massive displays of strelitzia's. You need to be reasonably fit as the displays are set along walkways which wind backwards and forwards up and down the side of the hillside - but take it steady, enjoy the views and you will see an absolutely marvellous garden.

"As we came in only late afternoon, we just spent about 2 hours in this absolutely fantastic park/garden ... but I guess you could spend almost a whole day here and enjoy the nature and learn about plants etc. The gardens are not only kept up very well, but also invite to relax, take some great pictu..."res or just stroll around. One of the most amazing gardens I've ever seen.
