Outdoor Portofino deals with ecotourism and outdoor activities related to the sea. The idea is to give everyone the chance to appreciate the beauty of Portofino Marine Park in the best possible way: paddling, rowing and sailing!AIM:Our goal is to give everyone the chance to discover the secrets of this preserved area. On board of kayaks or small sailing and rowing boats we give the opportunity to reach and see hidden and otherwise inaccessible natural paradises that behold the most colorful and genuine secrets of the ligurian coast sea vegetation. Guided by marine biologists and local experts in off-track excursion, all of our staff assures not only the best company and highest quality of sea sports instruction and guiding, but the chance to come in contact with the most peculiar and traditional aspects of this small and rich natural sanctuary and its costumes. With a bit of ambition and firmly believing in eco-tourism’s power, we want to provide the opportunity for those who visit these beautiful places to do it in the best way possible! We are also involved in carrying on a scientific environmental project.

"Walking through Portofino is like walking through a painting or a sculpture. It is a fantastic little town, and even though it was raining at the beginning you could still see all the colour of the Harbour on the Med with the little town streets and painted houses. There was also a steep park in o..."ne part of the town with sculptures including bright hot pink meerkats on posts!! don't ask don't have any idea, guess they go with the Rhino hanging in a sling!!!. all the guide books said it was expensive, but we didn't find it any more than some other places we had been. Mind you most small towns don't have shops owned by Zegna, etc etc. Even saw some Australian pearls for sale. They are expensive enough here, can't imagine how much they would cost there. Absolutely worth spending several hours just noodling around the town and the harbour.

"As a previous reviewer has noted you can take a walk along the beautiful coast from Santa Margherita Ligure to Portofino. It takes about 35 minutes to get to the mid-point. the tiny village of Paraggi, where the forest trail begins. From here you go up and down the wooded hills but its not too stren..."uous. The trail brings you into Portofino town. You can extend your walk if you wish and go to the castle and lighthouse or stay in the small town and admire the shops and tiny harbour. Be warned that the cafes at the harbour are expensive (€7 for 2 coffees), as are the restaurants (be aware of the cover charge as well as a service charge in many). To return you can walk, get the bus or the ferry. It's a very pleasant day out.
