"Words can't describe the views and trails behind the Eagles nest. In may we had to still walk through some snow, but that made the mountain that more beautiful. You really feel in awe of such beauty. Can see the Konigsee and Salzburg. Can understand why Hitler built this bunker type home. You reall..."y do feel like you rule the world from such heights. If you go no where else, go here when in Berchtesgaden or Salzburg.

"When you visit Germany, it is worth to visit the former "tea house" of Adolf Hitler. This building is full of history and the way up above by bus only, really is spectacular. What an amazing sight you have in the bus already. Once upon the hill there you find the Eagle's Nest and many people walk ar..."ound enjoy the view and breath the air. The Nest itself is an restaurant there is not much to see, but you can imagine once you go into the golden elevator - which brings you to the top of the hill and inside the nest -how it has been many years ago. It is a bit disappointed though they put way to many people into the elevator cause now there is no chance to make a nice photo of it. Nevertheless if you are interested into the history and beautiful sight you have this trip is worth to make for sure. Tip: only take the trip if the sky is clear and there is no fog otherwise you might be disappointed!

"Planing is everything. We were told that it was a dangerous area lots of snow and possible avalanches so when we made it to the site (but it was early May) they don't open the Eagle's Nest until the 15th because of it. So we didn't make the actual tour. It was foggy but continued the drive as far up..." as we could go. Not for the faint of heart. I couldn't imagine being on a bus. We were in an automatic and at one point the car wasn't moving and I had to get out of the car it was scary. We got to the top at least a foot of snow. I think it started snowing or just blowing. It was beautiful but knew we had the trip back down. There was a lot of disappoint in this car but not by me. At least he got a T-shirt.
