"Stayed in the whites Hotel attending a charity Football event.
Brilliantly designed facility with loads of interesting areas to see. Good parking and numerous shops, bars and restaurants around the stadium.
Well worth a visit."
"We took our one year old grandson to Smithills Open Farm recently and really enjoyed it. We got there nice and early only to find ourselves behind two coachloads of pre-schoolchildren disembarking but decided against turning round and going home and are glad we did. There's loads to see and do with ..."plenty of baby animals to ooh and aah over. To misquote Mr Ronseal it does exactly what it says on the sign and it is a bit 'rough and ready' - as a farm would be. Disneyworld it is not. However you can get hands on with just about everything and despite the multitude of children we could still go anywhere and do anything we wanted to. I thought £7 per adult was about right but £6 per child seems a bit steep. Luckily our little 'un was free.
All the animals were in good condition though I would suggest they put some bromine in the donkeys' feed!

"We got there around 3 and had 7 kids of varying age with us. All kids had an absolute ball in the play area followed by drinks in the cafeteria. We then spent another hour playing frisbee and the kids had fun rolln down the grassy hills. After 3 hours of fun we had to drag the kids home. A lovely da..."y out
