A virtual visit to Dr Frankensteins laboratory with Geissler Tubes, Bouquet Tubes, Railway Tubes, Jacob's Ladder, telegraph system, early x-ray tubes and many more crackling spark, electric flame laden demonstrations. Showing the education of the young Victorians, using many of the static accessories and rare artefacts, as used by them. We hope your visit here will prove interesting, stimulating and will give an insight into this largely extinct branch of science.

"English Heritage has built a new visitor centre in the shell of a former large house adjacent to the abbey. The overall visitor experience was very good, and the complimentary audio guide provided all the information I needed. Perhaps a few more numbered signs on the ruins of the abbey itself migh..."t have been helpful though.

"Unique and amazing yet peaceful. Park sits on a hill with the Whitby Museum at the top. We didn't visit the museum but heard it is very good with art and such."
