Located on the ground floor of the Atlin Terminal on the waterfront of Prince Rupert’s historic Cow Bay district, the Port Interpretive Centre tells the story of the Port of Prince Rupert. It is a story that stretches from 10,000 years ago -- when the area was a trading hub for the Tsimshian First Nation -- to the present, with the rapid growth of the port's commerce in containers, coal, and grain.

Metlakatla Wilderness Trail is a breath-taking Pacific North Coast trekking experience. The 20 km round-trip consists of 5.5 km of an all-weather gravel surface including approximately 3 km of cedar boardwalk. The remaining 4.5 km of the trail are clearly marked and hikers walk on the natural mossy-surface of the forest floor following the contours of the coastal shoreline. The trail also offers three engineered suspension bridges and a forest canopy walkway to a tower viewpoint.

"I took the bear watch as a cruise ship excursion.
This boat is so much nicer than other nature tour boats. Fast yet smooth ride , big windows and comfortable seats, and of course outside viewing decks. Food available. Also above average toilets including changing tables. The staff is informative ..."and enthusiastic.

"To be honest, I wasn't expecting much when my wife and I drove out to the North Pacific Cannery Museum. Boy, was I wrong. This is an excellent site to visit. The setting on the Skeena River is really beautiful and you will learn a lot. We took the two tours offered with the admission price, the ..."cannery process tour and the tour covering the living conditions. The tours were given by two young, energetic and knowledgeable college students and they really covered the "waterfront" so to speak. You can also wander about on your own and there are lots of informative signs posted to let you know what life was like at the cannery. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
