"Adventure Life staffers, Beth and Aaron, took our three kids (ages 4, 7 & 15) to Magdalena Bay with RED. This was the perfect trip for our family of outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts. Guides, food, location, camping and all around atmosphere was wonderful. Our kids experienced a lot of firsts on t..."his trip: first time experiencing bioluminescence; first time trying fresh scallops & ceviche & flan; first time kayaking in mangroves and hunting for hermit crabs and clams. "Such a jewel of an island with deserted beaches and coves, incredible geologic formations, crystal waters except during the season of algae bloom, a natural phenomena that takes place as the water temp changes from winter cool to summer hot...visibility for snorkeling incredible in the clear bays an..."d near Los Islotes. Fish may be caught year round...bottom, or more sporting varieties. You may be surprised by giant schools of dolphin, occasional whales: blue, fin, orca, gray, pilot,...did I forget anyone? We've seen them all over the years. Frigate Birds, Blue footed boobies, other fabulous species. there are small caves along the shores, lovely mangroves, that conceal lagoons in some of the bays. Even an occasional turtle may cross your path. definitely the best tourist attraction in La Paz, in my opinion.... oops...forgot the sea lion preserve on Los Islotes.
