  "What a super experience I recently had with Baja Ecotours and the gray whales of San Ignacio Lagoon! I did the 5 day fly in/fly out trip from Feb 9-13 and could have easily stayed longer. Campo Cortez was so impressive in many ways. Clean, well maintained and very eco-friendly. Maldo and his entire ..."staff run a terrific camp, the food was terrific and the cabin was very comfortable. It was a dream come true to get so close to the "friendlies" and although I didn't get my touch or kiss this trip I plan on coming back again next year for another try. We did see alot of whales breaching and spyhopping as well as the males chasing after the females. We also had a few close encounters with two cow/calf pairs that approached our panga, but just a tad too far away for a kiss. It was so apparent the camp is very concerned about protecting the environment and the whales. I highly recommend Baja Ecotours and look forward to my next visit! Thank you! " More >

  "I've wanted to dive with great whites since I was a kid. My dad took me to see Jaws when I was about 10 ... I think he wanted to scare the crap out of me but it backfired (lol) - I have been fascinated with these creatures ever since. So to get the chance to go cage diving (my dad paid!) was somethi..."ng I could not refuse .... someone cancelled last minute and rather than book a year or two in advance, I got 2 weeks notice. :) Which of course maybe is the smarter way to do it - less time to wonder what the heck you are about to do to yourself ..... It really is the chance of a lifetime. Who else do you know can say they have looked eye to eye with a great white shark? And that no, it didn't attack, or even look like it wanted to attack .... that was the most eye opening part of this. They are just gentle looking creatures, calmly swimming around in the ocean.
