I visited twice -- once with a Spanish speaking visitor and realized how much more informative that guided tour was then the English one. Even though the museum is new the signage and information on the exhibits are only in Spanish and the section with audio-clips was only in Spanish. Too bad they did not follow the lead of the Taino Museum (in Samana) or the national museum in Santo Domingo and have English language printed materials and/or audio materials. You get to hike up the side of the mountain, jump off cliffs into wading pools, slide down natural slides, and walk through gorgeous caverns. I would recommend bringing your own water shoes if you go though because even though you can rent them there, I had bleeding blisters on both feet before we were even at the start of the waterfalls. The hike up the mountain is a little strenuous but totally worth it. If you can't make the hike, you can walk slowly and enjoy the scenery as you go up.
