  "The day we drove through the Roaring Forks Motor Trail was cool and rainy. A perfect day to photograph the beauty around you! There were waterfalls, mossy streams and spring wildflowers in bloom. The road is narrow but there are enough places to pull over, park and get out of the car! We took short ..."walks at many of the stops along the way. Would recommend coming here in the morning. It was peaceful and quiet early in the day, but traffic picked up in the afternoon. " More >
• Clingmans Dome

  "What a difference a day makes!! We came to Clingmans Dome on two consecutive days. Day one was COLD and CLOUDY. Could not see a thing! Day two was warmer, sunny and clear. We could see for MILES!!!! The trail up to the Dome is paved, but steep. There are benches along the way, so just stop,rest..." and take in the views. We saw a bear cub in the woods close to the trail on our way up and on the way back down. The is a small visitor center, lots of parking and restrooms. Even if you don't make the climb to the top, the views from the parking area are beautiful. We were able to enjoy sunset with clear skies. On our way out of the parking lot, we saw another bear cub feeding on the side of the road. We sure don't get to see that everyday! Just love our National Parks!!! " More >
