"It was a little tricky to find and did not feature on the SatNav, so look out for the Texaco station right next door. The walk wasn't too taxing and neither was the section in the cave, although you will need a flashlight and sensible shoes. The climb into and out of the cave can be very slippery. T..."he view out of the cave is beautiful and all the stalactites inside are interesting. Watch out for the bats!
The roadside café at the entrance/parking lot serves a decent and very cheap lunch.

"We were planning on seeing Camuy but saw the reviews and had second thoughts. The lady handling our rental in Arecibo suggested Cueva Ventana. My father-in-law went with us & he's 78 but in good shape. He had to take it easy but did OK. We all thought it was so cool climbing into the opening by rope...", searching in the cave, seeing the bats and the jewel at the end - the window. I loved the adventure & very much recommend it. It is a bit dangerous so be careful if you have very young kids.

"If you're nearby you have to stop. There is a decent walk up the stairs but go ahead and get your daily exercise. You do need to appreciate science to get the most out of this. The exhibits are good. Some boarding on cool, others really in depth and some out of date (apparently it hasn't made it to ..."Arecibo that Pluto is not a planet). The size of the telescope is awesome. I'm glad I've seen it and the pics I took will make good water cooler conversation.
