On Odaiba, an artificial island developed to showcase futuristic living, the Fuji TV Building is an eye-catching landmark. It sits like a docked space shuttle atop a hyper-modern lattice building.

"It's a shame that such a wonderful building seems to only host major traveling exhibitions and shows by art associations. When I went one of the galleries hosted an exhibition of California Design 1930-1965 that was excellent. I passed on an exhibit a tapestry from the Cluny Museum in Paris since ..."I had seen it in the original venue. The rest of the galleries appeared to contain exhibits by art associations, with no English descriptions. Two of the five galleries were empty. It's a lovely, peaceful respite from Roppongi, but underutilized. It's a short walk from the Roppongi station. Each of the five galleries charges a separate admission when they are open. There are several restaurants including a high-end Paul Bocuse operation. Worth a visit, but make sure you check the web site to see what exhibits are on.

"Was quite skeptical about this fish market in the first place, but since it has a lot of good reviews, we decided to pay a visit. Surprise, surprise! It is such a vibrant market. The inner market (which tourist and outsider are forbidden to go in) opened from 6am. I suggest to just visit outer marke..."t. But do go in the morning, like 9am, to see the hustle bustle of this place. Be careful and mindful that all the fish mongers are working over there, therefore there will be mini vehicles running here and there. Do not obstruct their way. After finish with outer market, we wanted to try the sushi as it freshest at Sushi Dai restaurant (rated no. 1 in Tokyo). But we turned down the idea, since there were like 50 peoples in the queue! So we decided to just go to any sushi restaurant without the queue in front of it. Trust me, it was so fresh! Tsukiji fish market is definitely worth a visit for something out of the box.

"This was a reasonably priced trip to the top of the Mori Tower
where the views over the city were stunning. Also included in the roughly £10 cost was a visit to the art gallery which was showing a exhibition of traditional, modern and conceptual art on the theme of Love, which was well worth a vi..."sit. Several food outlets at the top and bottom of the complex including the Michelin-starred Atelier de Joel Robuchon.
