We have visited the beach no several occasions and love walkin in the nature reserve with its beautiful lake and wildlife. We even saw a peacock this year! The area is unspoilt, reflecting the care that the local community have for the environment. There are swans and ducks and a lovely little bridge, leading to the harbour and the beach....

We were here in may, the first week of the season so it was lovely and quiet, very few people on the lovely long beach which suited us fine! Sun loungers were very close together, so not so good peak season! nice walking beach!!

One of the best beaches in greece..it has all comforts,bars,restarants very near and watersports...the sea is just perfect...must be visited

Very nice but busy in high season. Been coming here over 40 year period-just seems to get more crowded in the high season. Good transport, parking , bathing and facilities.

Koukounaries Beach is on of the good beaches of Skiathos. Clean, with incredible smelling pine-trees, friendly water.
However, Kuokounaries is one of the most crowded beaches on the island and this ruins your pleasure. A solution could be to go in the morning, because the people are starting to come from 11:30-12:00.

Koukounaries is a beautiful beach but there are too many sunbeds for our liking. There are a number of small cafes and depending on where you sit, there may well be loud music blaring out. Great if that's what you are looking for but we much prefer the quieter beaches.

One of the best beaches n the southwest part of the island of Skiathos in Greece means 'Stone Pines' in Greek At Koukounaries there is a lagoon and a wooded peninsula with a Stone Pine (Pinus pinea) forest separating the lagoon from the Aegean Sea. This beach is okay, but like some places in Skiathos, it is victim to slightly over-zealous marketing. It s not the best beach on the island. It is always crowded and noisy. A walk five minutes either side provides much better beaches.
Skiathos is about more than just the south of the island. Try Mandraki, Asselinos, Kekhria - the list...
