sunset point mount abu just 2 km far away from our hotel crystal inn..sunset point is very nice and cool place..we enjoy and we must visit this place whenever we comeback in mount abu...
The place is located on the top of Aravali hill range. when i went their it was raining their. i could feel above the cloud at the place. and it was a heavenly experience for me. to see sun above the clouds. a must visit place if you are visiting mount abu.
One should definitely visit Mt Abu to see the Sunset. This place is good but have started getting rusty. Management should try to clean such places propely to encourage more tourism.. experience was good for a small visit.
Hundreds of people rush to sunset point every evening, and it is a bit of a circus and... worth every minute! Mix with the local crowd and visitors from all over India and take fabulous sunset pics over the misty plains.
Great for honeymooning couples, as the road upto the sunset point is about a km from the parking area, so u can enjoy it on a horse together or arm in arm. cart rides are available for those with mobility problems. Climb upto the highest vantage point for a spectacular view of the hills around and the setting sun.
On a clear day you can see to Pakistan - so I am told. I have never experienced a clear day. The view down the mountain and across the flat plains is lovely. You can also see the eagles circling overhead.
The walk up to the sunset view point was not too steep or difficult. Still there were options such as a 4 wheel pull cart or a gallop up the hill on ponies. After almost an hour long wait, the crowds of young school boys bade good bye to the setting sun. The walk back had to be carefully negotiated...

Nice point. Its fun to see the sun set behind the mountains.There is a steep upward slope to ascend before you reach the point. For elderly people Horses and "hathgadi" Hand pushed carts are available. The road is dirty due to presence of Horses
As the name suggests, you can feast your eyes as the sun goes down on the Aravali range. About a kilometer away from the lake, the approach road is quite narrow so please make it in time before the sun sets lest you miss out due to a traffic block.
