Blackfield is a nice quite coffee house where you can relax with a good cup of coffee and browse their really cute clothing line. they have a variety of Achill produced fleeces, hats, hoodies ect. They dont rush you, you can sit and relax or shop at your ease.

We had missed lunch and managed to grab the last two bowls of vegetable soup at the Blackfield cafe. Together with scones from Ferndale Restaurant, the soup was just what we needed on a wet and windy afternoon to keep up going to dinner. My cappuccino was perfect.

Try the apple sponge cake, WOW. Very friendly staff, beautiful clothing, many items hand made. So much nicer, less expensive and bigger than the Beehive cafe nearby. The seating outside is slightly sheltered from the prevailing southwesterly winds, closest thing you will get to sun trap in Achill.
