It is a small lake and over-crowded with shops and a small amusement park. There are traffic jams there throughout the weekend

It was a great experience boating here surrounded with clouds and fog. Much better than the lake at Ooty.

Awesome boat ride and clear water. We came under a shower which is inside the lake, the weather was great for boat ride. The only thing was charges, it could be more affordable

Get some Fresh carrot and corns and enjoy them during boat ride. Great pleasure. But, this lake is so deep and life-jacket is not made as compulsory (this time I did not even see them available/offered to us). Safety is a big concern here whatever you say. Probably, they are waiting for a tragedy to happen. Not so good.

Ejoy boating & take a paddle boat (if you're group of under 4/5). If bigger grp take ' rowing boat'. Be wary of guys offering Horse ride for 30 mins for Rs 100, in reality they'll take you around a patch of land, next to Venna lake (in 5/7 mins)

You should go for boating. There are different types of boats available . Besides this you can eat fresh carrots , strawberries and not to miss sweet corn.

During my Mahabaleshwar stay, boating in Venna lake is my first choice of entertainment. Thsi is the only place I know where I can take self rowing boat.
