just the completely unspoilt laidback way of life.Must be prepared to tip left right and centre, this is the only way the locals can make any extra money, but i didnt mind just got used to it.They dont expect a lot, they dont earn much. More

The views of the Moguettes are brilliant, and horse riding around the Valle was one of the highlights of my trip to Cuba. Visiting tobacco growers, smoking Cuban cigars and rum and grapefruit drinks ... does it come any better?? You see real Cubans hard at work and get to understand what life is this area is all about. We stayed in Vinales for 4 days and enjoyed it very much. The nature and landscape around the Mogotes is stunning. We did a horseback riding tour, which we loved (apart from the rain), a bike tour (watch out: if it's raining, the roads in the fields gets muddy, the mud gets stuck between your tires and breaks, you can't... I would definitely advice people to walk around! It is the best way to find out how the tobacco is cultivated, how the farmers leave, and enjoy the beautiful scenery! If possible, ask Alberto to be your guide; he was really genuine and could answer all our questions! More

My friend and I visited Vinales in April 2011. We fell in love Vinales, the peaceful valley, mogotes, and the kind and charming locals that lived in the area. We booked a walking photography tour through one of the agencies in the main square. It was the best tour we did in Cuba! Guillermo was knowledgeable in the history of... More

Our casa particular organized a horse trip for us. It was so beautiful. We learned a lot about the farmers in the surrounding and we saw them working. We got two horses and the farmer boy went with us to explain us the things we wanted to know. It's a very nice spot of the real Cuba!! If you have... More

We went on the guided walking tour of the Vinales Municipal Museum with Douglas Pino Correa. Douglas is an excellent guide and has detailed knowledge of the valley and it's culture. He is very friendly and passes on many interesting facts - thoroughly recommended. More
