The hike begins from a parking lot where cars must be paid for (I don't believe there's a walk-in fee, but not sure - very little street parking available nearby). The hike begins with a walk along a wide, well-maintained path. It eventually narrows and becomes more of a hike than a walk, with some obstacles to get over/around. Lots... More

This is a wet trail and one should wear appropriate shoes. They are redoing the trail. It is being upgraded. They are putting down a gravel path. The falls are beautiful.

Loved hiking, but hiker be warned: the trail is VERY muddy and buggy. They were in the process of repairing the trail so there were several parts that were washed out. Be prepared to wash your sneakers.

This is a relatively short hike up and down but it is fairly steep. The hike is worth the effort but the top third are likely going to be muddy so be prepared. The falls is very pretty and the hike is extremely pleasant. It takes about 2 hours round trip including time at the falls. It is free but... More

I wanted to come here just to see the falls but the hike was worth the trip by itself. It felt like I was walking through a movie set. The falls were amazing. Unfortunately it started raining as soon as we got to the top. Even if you think the weather is going to be fine (like I did) bring... More

We took the #5 Honolulu bus here which drops you at the end of a residential area just before the entry. The bus runs about once an hour! So time yourself accordingly. Entry was free for pedestrians, $5 for cars. Definitely, follow advise of others in wearing good athletic shoes with traction. Along the last part of this hike, it... More

We went here to see the waterfalls like everyone else. Word of warning it is very Muddy and there are mosquitos everywhere! After hiking to the waterfalls, I was not gobsmacked, it was an ok waterfall but I could have easily avoided it.

You can take the bus, or drive if you rented a car, but either way get up to see Manoa Falls, a short hike just beyond a residential area outside Waikiki and Honolulu. The trail is well-maintained, but you do have to pay $5 to park. I parked on the street leading up to it (many do) and walked about... More

If you are going to do this trail/hike, do it before it get's dark and wear hiking boots or sandals because when we went, it had just finished raining and there was a beautiful rainbow that appeared (which Hawaii is know for it's pretty rainbows), It was slippery, muddy and fun at the same time. We even had a pregnant... More

Loved the trees and foliage. I would suggest good foot wear. It was very muddy in spots. Over all we did enjoy the hike. 4 and 6 year old grandkids had a great time aswell
