The video and visit to USS Arizona gives you feeling of what happened that morning. I think it's worth taking visiting memorial.
I have always wanted to visit this memorial - so glad I had this experience - and, although I will not go again - I highly recommend to anybody visiting Honolulu.
In late May, I was able to book this $30 special tour on line which I was pleased about as I had not been able to get a ticket for the regular USS Arizona Tour. Although, once I arrived as I was putting my bag into security, a kind lady gave me an unused entry and I was able to...

Tried to get tickets online in late April and none were available until July. So, go early when it opens at 7am daily and pick up the free tickets. The earlier you are there the better chance you have of picking some up. When we were there that day's tickets were gone by 10am.
Enjoyed all the displays and stories...

Definitely recommend going with a tour group as tickets to the memorial sell...

Up close look at this memorial gives you a greater sense of respect for what our service members experienced.
For the half an hour visit to the memorial in the middle of the harbour it is not worth doing a trip alone for this but must be coupled with the museums on the shore and a visit to the Missouri which really brings out the sheer size and catastrophe of the Arizona. Silence at the tomb is a must.
This was a very touching experience for me. The thought of our sailors and others being in the water was very moving.
