Even when its hot, its still a great place to visit for a chocolate fix. We dropped in here recently to get a little chocolate treat. Superb chocolate elixers, baked goodies and chocolates. Ended up having an excellent chocolate elixer. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The best chocolate house we've been to: guilt-free, side-effect free chocolate of the highest quality.

On our trip to Santa Fe we wanted to explore the art galleries on Canyon Road. After that we took a break over chocolate drinks and treats at Kakawa. Tony, the owner, was charming and helpful. He recommended a barber for my husband and a restaurant that the "locals" all go to. What a delight!

While the Chocolate House is sort of off the beaten track, if you see the sign...stop in. You will not be disappointed. Flavorful chocolate elixirs. I had a lavender mint ice cream that was out of this world. A bit pricy, but what the heck. You're on vacation and chances are you will never have it again unless you go... More

We had to go here based on its outstanding Tripadvisor marks. Our fellow members did not let us down! What a fun place to take someone special in your life or just go to unwind with an outstanding chocolate drink. Truly like a brownie in a cup!

Had the best authentic chocolate drink here, the one with the chile of course! Many others to sample. Lovely Mexican cups. Friendly well-informed staff. Charming spot.

Discovering this place in 2011 was a revelation: I had been experimenting with historical chocolate beverages for 10 years and had no idea that anyone had actually started a business selling such recipes. I've dreamed about starting my own chocolate house for quite some time and it was nice to see how these folks have done something similar to my... More

Hot chocolate will never be the same! We came here after learning about the History of Chocolate at the special exhibit at the Museum of International Folk Art. Our chocolate cravings were definitely satisfied by the wonderful European and Mesoamerican drinking chocolates - like espresso for the chocolate lover! The chocolate confections were also exquisite!

The brownie is good, and the chocolate drinks are interesting in the beginning, but you'll get to like them after two three sips. We had the pomegranate and the goat cheese chocolate, they're so delicious. The flavor of both ingredient are integrated into chocolate gracefully. Can't help but love the chocolate! We'll definitely go back.

We found Kakawa Chocolate House here on TripAdvisor. It was an experience that I've not had before. It was like a coffee shop, but that served different types of liquid and solid chocolate. None of the liquid options were sweet like I was expecting, but was worth the try. They had some very yummy chocolates in the store. Many were... More
