A great place to pass a few hours relaxing. A lovely shaded area for a stroll and for eats and drinks and as the evening approached, with entertainment thrown in!

Absolutely fell in love with this place. It is like another world with it's own micro climate. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Have your walking shoes on as it is so beautiful we walked around and around for hours.

We spent about 5 hours on the Riverwalk - it was a beautil day in January. There are so many shops and great restaurants, and the River, with boats going by, gives it a very festive yet "other worldly" feel. We stopped along the way for a cocktail here and there, and did a little shopping - sometimes we just... More

While visiting our daughter and son n law in Midland, Texas, we decided to take a couple days to drive over to San Antonio (down to??) whatever....and do the River Walk. I have to say that it was such a wonderful 2 days and nights. We stayed downtown, but if we ever go again, we will save our money and... More

I love the River Walk. It's great to stroll along people watching or just holding hands enjoying the ambiance. Keep your walking shoes in tow, it's a long walk!! Worth it, because of the great food and drinks you can walk off after. It's pretty busy even during the week, but not as congested as the weekends. If you get... More

If you want a restaurant map you need to get from some special office. They don't give them out on riverwalk.

I love the shops and restaurants that line the streets of the Riverwalk. We came here daily on our vacation and stayed in a balcony room overlooking Riverwalk.

I first saw the River Walk 20 years ago when I was in the Air Force and had always wanted to go back. It's a very special place, 15-20 feet below the street level, with mature trees and lots of waterfalls and great little spots to eat/drink and enjoy the cool relief of the shade and the river. Take the... More

History, beauty, restaurants, music, art and don't forget people watching! The river walk looks and feels wonderful. When it's hot, you'll be several degrees cooler on the river. Don't want to forget your camera.
