Actors, directors and special effects wizards of the past and present are all honored here with nearly fifty life-sized realistic recreations of the horror's genre's most memorable characters. Safe for all. During October, the monsters come to life making Count Orlok's Nightmare Gallery Salem's Scariest Haunted house but during the rest of the year, the monsters are quite calm and won't move at all. A great tribute to the horror genre. I loved getting up close and personal with some of the monsters i grew up watching. Anyone visiting Salem should defintely make this part of their trip. I can't wait to come back in the fall to see the "museum come to life"! Great job and keep it up!! More

The displays were very accurate and lifelike. Interesting descriptions accompanying a lot of them. If you're at all a horror fan, this is a must do. Also, the guy working there was very nice informative. More

My husband and I visited Count Orlok's while vacationing in Salem. I was very nervous about entering as I am a big chicken but the young man who was working there explained that there were no scares, just wax figures from different horror genres. We entered to the Phantom of the Opera seated at his organ and proceeded in to... More

This isn't your average wax museum. They have many wax figures from older movies, to more recent. Between the scary music and the lighting you were already a little scared. The wax figures themselves were very scary! If I stared at them I thought some were going to come to life. I actually had to walk away from some. They... More

James, the father of the the Monsters that reside here at the Gallery, is a genius. This is a must visit when in Salem. I always make sure to stop in and see what is new, because it is ever changing there. More

If you love horror and sci-fi movies, this place is definitely for you! I wasn't expecting much, but once you're inside, all pretenses are left at the door. The guides know their stuff and the monsters are scary-realistic. I'll go back to Count Orlok's Nightmare Gallery every time I go to Salem because they change it up every year. You... More
