My wife, 22 year old son, and I spent my birthday getting a tour of the winter night sky from Robby Tackett and it was a fantastic experience. Robby was an extremely knowledgable, enthusiastic and gracious guide to our galaxy. He even let us attach or Nikon camera to one of his telescopes so we could try out astro photography.... More

we were very excited to do this - based on past reviews - and were looking forward to a fun evening of stargazing and learning more about deep space. our guide was a nice guy, but perhaps it was because he was under the weather that things were a bit of a disappointment. or just a bit too low key.... We visited Spencer's observatory just outside Tucson and had a great time. Rob was very knowledgeable and showed us lots of beautiful deep space objects, stunning views of Jupiter, and lots of fun commentary from Rob. We owed all of our best friends a party, but we have the smallest house of the bunch and it was to warm to be crowded into our pad. We instead choose to rent the evening out at Spencer's observatory. We had a star guide named Robbie who really knows his way around the planets, and a hostess named Angel... More

I had my first deep space experience here and very proud to admit it. At 56, that's a shame, but my galactic experience has only recently been tweeked. I love looking at the sky at night (thank you lasik.) This is a place any amateur or novice will appreciate. Robbie, obviously neither an amateur or novice, was perfect. He knows... More
