Took kids to do some indoor climbing. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They got everyone fitted with gear and were really good with encouraging them on climbing. Cost $15 for 3 climbs. Really fun for everyone. Would go again. The store looks well stocked...didn't really looked around it much.

We always stop here on our way into hike, climb, etc...they always have a good deal on something you are looking for. Tons of North Face, Marmot, and the likes. Good selection of hats and sunglasses. Really anything you need for the outdoors at very reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and helpful.

What happened to this place? The staff, especially the weekend crew and its female manager, no longer allow customers to browse without pouncing on them and aggressively trying to make sales. This once was a gem of a store. No longer.

Sorry for the experience you had, that individual no longer works here, and was in fact, not a manager. We take our customer service very seriously and pressuring customers is definitely not what we're all about. We hope you come visit us again soon, we're sure you'll find it a pleasant experience. - Rob More

Our family of 5 adults did a fly fishing trip with Estes Park Mountain Shop. It was a great experience with knowledgeable guides. We each caught at least one fish with about 8 total and and hooked up on probably 12 or more. Great fun! We also did the downhill bike tour from the top of Trail Ridge with New... More

Family rental for bikes for 4 hours ($25 per bike for the 4 hours plus $3 for the lock - helmets included). Took almost an hour from the time we arrived until we actually hit the bike path - no, they were not busy. This included a delay, having to check in downstairs to pay upstairs to go back downstairs... More

I can not explain how great our day was. One son went climbing and I went fly fishing with my 3 other sons. They made everything easy and were very flexible to work with. they even allowed my wife to tag along to take pictures. The staff was very knowlegable and I feel I received an education on fly fishing... More

My husband booked a fly fishing guide with the Mountain Shop. I had never caught a fish (fly or otherwise) and we are both young at heart but a little along in years. Our guide, Jeff, could not have been better. He was patient, kind, and kept me standing in the Big Thompson without falling! He actually TAUGHT me how to... More

Today we did a 4-hour private rock climb, and had an absolute blast! Our guide Glen was knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly for beginner climbers, encouraging. Would definitely recommend the trip if you are interested in outdoor climbing - we selected the 4 hour option, which was plenty for us (group of 2) - by the end we were getting... More

There were 4 in our party and we all had a great time on the 4 hour introduction to fly fishing. Jonathon was our extremely informative guide. You could tell fishing was his passion. He took the time to teach, explain and help.Would love to do it again. Thanks for the great time.

Thanks to Johnathan Wright for his patience, gentleness, and sharing of his expertise with a couple of novice "flyers." He not only taught us the how and why of trout fishing, but also where and why. He gave us a foundation of principles, and concepts upon which to build our skill. We have already planned our next trip to Colorado... More
