Based on reviews and my friend's recommendation, we visited the Botanical gardens. The cost was $9 which was the resident rate and after going should have been a better value at $5. Many of the plant species were not marked so it was difficult to know exactly what you were looking at. The open green space and ceremony area would... More

I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time while visiting Albuquerque and she recommended we hang out here. It is such an amazing place! We were able to walk around and see all the beautiful flowers, ponds, ducks...etc! It was so quiet and peaceful, we sat in a large grassy area and chatted for hours.... More

Well maintained, always a pleasant walk, the Japanese garden is very ice, small makes the visit to the botanic garden worth the trip.

The Garden has ponds (we Westerners call them lakes) with ducks, mode trains, a delightful Big Bugs sculpture trail for children, awful food, and acres of beautiful flora, lawns, trees, roses, a butterfly pavilion, a tropical forest and more. Lovely way to spend the day, or even the odd half hour (free if you're a member of the BioPark).

A great place for the whole family. Beautiful and diverse flora and lots of space for the kids to run around. It is an amazing place.

For a smallish town, Albuquerque has a great Biopark system, of which the Botanic Gardens is part. Its easy to navigate, usually something new and the employees and volunteers are knowledgeable and friendly. The Rose Chapel is amazing and would be lovely for a wedding. The newly finished Japanese garden is amazing. Saw it during construction and still can't believe... More

Every time I visit I ask myself why don't I go here more often. It is charming, diverse and peaceful. The relatively new Japanese Garden is outstanding. Also, there is very interesting tile work.

Liked the moorish garden, but thought it could have used more features. The gardens are more of a park and quite spread out. There is a train that runs through but you can't get on and off it during the ride.

This place is great during the XMAS holidays. Other than that differently the place to be during a date. Couples will have a great time walking around even in the butterfly building. If solo it'll take about 20 mins to go through.
