I grew up in Salt Lake and the Cathedral was known for it's beautiful architecture. It's a shame that they have half modernized the inside. It used to be so inspirational and awe-inspiring. What a shame.

A great, active Catholic community in Salt Lake City! I don't know why I was surprised, but the full church at 11:00 AM mass with a full music complement was a great way to continue our own tradition of visiting churches during our travels. That evening a concert was to be performed which we missed - but the reviews the...

Regardless of your Faith you'll enjoy your visit to this Catholic Cathedral located just west of downtown Salt Lake City. Check out the service times on Sunday & allow yourself 15~20 minutes to walk from most downtown Hotels.
You would not expect a cathedral on this scale in Mormon headquarters. The catholic church created this truly beautiful cathedral. It is open every day. Weekdays see mostly tourists coming in to snap photos and walk around. Bring some quarters, light a candle and sit for awhile. Take it all in, it's delightful.

One of the oldest standing buildings in Utah. Very beautiful. Compares to some of the cathedrals in Europe, though not as big. Stained glass windows are beautiful. Try to visit when they are having a choral or organ recital. The acoustics are fantastic (as all cathedrals should be)!
Absolutely spectacular Cathedral....not to be missed when visiting Utah! Do yourself a favor and taking in the majesty of the Cathedral of the Madeline!
One of the most beautiful churches I've visited, this church is ideal for photographers seeking old, exquisite church architecture and ornament. Often overlooked because of the more well known Morman attractions, this is one church not to miss while in town!!
Beautiful, old Cathedral. Old for this country any way. It has a feel of Europe about it. The bells on Sunday are a treat.
Growing up morman I never was able to go see this place but I went to a friends wedding and It was amazing, big, a must see
