Everything about this was amazing. Parking was easy. The view when you first enter is fantastic but only gets better as you follow the trail. And do follow the trail and make all the stops. You will learn much about the memorial, the presidents and those who worked there. If you are lucky, there might be a working visiting the... More

Incredible being there - Had not been looking forward to this leg of our trip, but was pleasantly overwhelmed when we got there. Site is very clean and well maintained. We were very moved and happy we made the trip.

Majestic view and interesting history of its creation. Lovely hiking trail with great photo ops. Very close to Keystone and parking pass is good for the year, so we visited again the 2nd day of our trip. Beautiful display of state flags, also great photo ops

So, I'd always wanted to see Mount Rushmore. It is AMAZING! We were so lucky that when we got there it was a little bit overcast. The faces are so defined and it is just an awesome piece of America. The park is really first class and the trail around the park is a nice way to spend some time... More

I was worried my kids wouldn't get much out of it, but they and my wife and I loved it. We loved seeing the faces during the day and the lighting ceremony is a must see

Mount Rushmore is a thing you can do only once to have enough of it. It is frightening how much they charge to park your car and we will never do it again. The semi-circle trail from the viewing point is worth the effort... one time only. We found ourselves bemused that the place had closed the "artist studio" when... More

We drove up a long and winding road, parked in the parking lot, climbed a few steps and we’re awestruck at this magnificent work of art. The state flags, including when they were admitted to the union, lined the avenue up to Mount Rushmore – very impressive. A real treat was when browsing in the gift shop I got to... More

Driving up the road towards Mt. Rushmore was beautiful. The scenery never got old, it is in a beautiful setting with rocks that look like they are purposely formed that way for your viewing pleasure. The tour was great, the staff was very helpful & friendly. If you go, make sure you watch the 15 minute history film in the... More

I've grown up in SD and have traveled all over the US. We've gone to many National and State Parks. I still love Mount Rushmore. What a great piece of art - carved into hard rock. A great patriotic tribute to this wonderful nation that I love! I so glad to be an American. It is beautiful to walk the... More

Take your time to visit the sculptors' studio. It's a lot of stairs but such a great view of what it took to carve these faces into the granite mountain. There is the 9th scale model he built there and many of the original tools. Amazing. And stay for it lit up at night. The film is great and it... More
