My husband and I have seen many great shows at the Mayo Center. The venue is comfortable and spacious. Great hometown theater w/many dining options within walking distance. They also offer fantastic programs for children and family.
We've seen several shows there, most recently was Poco, Firefall & Pure Prairie League. We've seen The Steve Miller Band, and Joe Walsh. The shows are always good and the sound quality is good. I generally sit in the Orchestra where the sight lines are good.
Ticketing issues? I ordered a pair of tickets for an improv show many months in advance, and the site showed that it was almost sold out. really? So I got two tix off to the side in front orchestra. It's terrific to have a place so close to home that presents such outstanding talent. It's not Broadway but it certainly is a hometown treat. Ticket prices are reasonable, Morristown is a safe town and it's so convenient.
Wonderful venue for all types of performances, from symphonies to chamber music, from folk music to jazz, from modern dance to Irish step dancing, from stand up comic to Gilbert & Sullivan. Former movie theater turned into excellent performing arts center.
Nice clean venue, friendly staff, close street parking(get there early). Good restaurants nearby. Only 2 stalls in bathroom makes for a long line for the woman's room and especially at kids shows.
The interior is nicely appointed, the seats are well marked with plenty of legroom and are noticeably wider than those in Broadway theaters. The place also has very good acoustics. Note there are two sets of bathrooms (main lobby and balcony). The balcony bathroom seemed larger and less crowded.
Plan ahead for parking (see their website). The parking next door...

Even the "cheap" seats are fine, The concerts we have heard have all been enjoyable and more intimate than the larger arenas.
