As you roam the subterranean passages that once were the main roadways and first-floor storefronts of old downtown Seattle, our guides regale you with the stories our pioneers didn’t want you to hear. It’s history with a twist! The tour begins inside Doc Maynard’s Public House, a restored 1890s saloon. Following a short intro, we’ll walk through historic Pioneer Square to three different sections of Underground—about three blocks in all... « less

This was recommended to us by a fellow traveller, and we're glad we did it. Interesting story, and cool to see underground. Our tour guide was hilarious, and it often felt more like just a comedy show than a tour - more talking than seeing, but I didn't mind as it was funny and interesting. Not good for kids, and... More

Neat tour that takes you below ground to see parts of Seattle that were covered as the ground level was raised. The tour is very light hearted, and the guides make lots of cheesy jokes, which adds to the fun if you don't take yourself too seriously. Some neat history lessons as well for the history buffs, nice way to... More

We went on this tour and I think I expected something different but not sure what. The tour started with a brief history about the area then we went down one of the 3 underground passages, our guide was very knowledgable and a good narrator but as I said I didn't quite know what to expect. This attraction really isn't... More

Because the people I traveled with took the Underground Tour, we did the adult-oriented Underworld Tour this time. Here, we learned about the history of prostitution and drugs. I felt that there was too much talking from our tour guide. The tour was supposed to be an hour long and he talked for almost 25 minutes in one spot while... More

Great little tour! We showed up a little to late for the next tour ( which is every hour on the hour during operation) so we sat down at the diner/cafe to get a bite to eat. The burger and fries I had was the best and Tina had the waffle fries with chicken breast and blue cheese crumbles and... More

Nothing like advertised. Very humid and dirty moldy smell. This should be shut down. The story told up top was the highlight of this

This was recommended to us by the station attendant at the airport. Aspiring thespians guide the tour and their sense of humour certainly determines whether you love it or hate it. We thought it was great fun and amongst the laughs you get some great incite into Seattle history. Fun and frivolous.

When a tour company advertises some of its tours as being for 21 and over, I guess I should have a heads-up that the humor might slide from one tour to the other. This was highly recommended by family members so we took our teenagers on it. It was very educational, and in a historical part of town that we... More
