These visions become reality in Kenai Fjords National Park and Resurrection Bay. The waters abound with marine life. Sea otters casually watch you as they feed on sea urchins and mollusks; adolescent seals follow you curiously as you kayak in silence; pods of orcas glide through the waters as they search for salmon...it's all here waiting for you. « less

We went on a short kayak and it there were great sights. We saw sea lions, sea offers, and a variety of birds. We kayaked to a beautiful waterfall as well. Our guides, Hannah and Forest, were very knowledgeable about the history of Seward, geology of the area and the wildlife that we saw. I would recommend it! More

I'm not an experienced at sea kayaking, but this trip was wonderful. The scenery was stunning, the sea calm, lots of sunshine and wildlife all around - seas, otters, salmon, eagles, etc. The guides were very informative and I felt very safe following their guidelines... and although we went quite a way, the paddling was not difficult. We paddled up... More

It sounds as if you picked a perfect day to paddle! We love when the Chum and Pink Salmon start spawning in mid-July and we're able to paddle up Tonsina Creek to see them in action. Hopefully we'll see you again some day. More

My wife and I decided 2 hours prior to take a kayak trip/tour with Sunny Cove. We stopped in the office off the marina to see if we could book an afternoon tour as it was a sunny and beautiful day in Seward, Alaska. So considering it was only 2 hours prior to the trip, we were happy we could... More

We're glad we were able to get you on the water! Early and late season can be a great time to get on the water...fewer people, less boat traffic and lots of wildlife! Thank you for the good words and we hope to see you again. Just an FYI for future paddlers: No worries if you do not have a... More

We were a small group but still had 2 very good guides, so we weren't left with any unanswered questions on or off the water, at the same time they didn't 'hold our hands' too much. It was definitely a worthwhile trip even in rainy/very cloudy weather - still loads of fun and lots of nature & wildlife to see. More

The clouds draping over the mountains can make a magnificent landscape even more dramatic. And the rain just adds to the adventure of getting out and having a great Alaskan experience. Thanks for your visit and come see us again sometime! More

Went on a kayaking trip in Resurrection Bay and had an amazing time. Beautiful water & scenery. We saw bald eagles, sea otters, harbor seals and a bunch of other cool birds. We also went up a little stream during high tide which was full of pink & chum salmon. Our guides were great. More

We had booked the day-long Fox Island sea kayaking, but due to weather did the half day instead. We had a great time. My husband says it was his favorite part of the trip. We had a group of ten (five tandem kayaks) with two very knowledgeable and friendly guides. They were great instructros of how to use the kayaks... More

Between the guides, the wonderful fellow paddlers, the scenery, the great equipment , great food, and luck of 3 days with no rain, that was one of the more amazing trips I have been on (including other Alaska kayak overnight trips, and 35+ years of going on outdoor trips). Look forward to having the opportunity to go on another of... More

We've said it before and we'll say it again...we LOVE Northwestern Fjord! It's easy for the guides to have just as great of an experience as the guests in such a wonderful place. We're looking forward to seeing you again for another awesome adventure! More

The outfit was professional and courteous. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The trip was not too tough for beginners, and the scenery was gorgeous. Our 3 hours went by too fast and we wished we had signed up for a longer trip. Next time! More

Come on back and we'll get you out there! If you're in for a great wildlife viewing trip check out the Grand Day. It combines wildlife viewing/charter cruise with paddling in front of a tidewater glacier. If more paddling sound more interesting check out our Caines Head Paddle and Hike or our Fox Island Day tour. See you next time! More

We did the grand day tour with Sunny Cove. We had a wonderful time. The boat ride out to the kayaking was fun, saw seals, sealions, puffins and dall dolphins. The kayaks were very nice and we had a great time paddling in the ice from the holgate glacier. We were lucky to see lots of calving of the glacier.... More
