If you are looking for a hike or climb of a lifetime, I absolutely recommend Exit Glacier Guides. I went to Alaska for two weeks this past summer and I never expected to have an amazing and rare experience like I had on their trip. By far this was the best thing I did in Alaska. Not only was the... more

Under the excellent care of guides Cody and Ryan, our family was mesmerized by the wonders we experienced on Exit Glacier. Despite our inexperience with glacial hiking, our guides provided us with the necessary instructions and techniques. They also shared their knowledge about the flora of the surrounding temperate rain forest on our upward climb. They were informative about the... more

My wife and I just got back from an otherwise wonderful Alaska trip. Exit Glacier Guides' web site claims to offer a shuttle bus service b/w Seward small boat harbor and Exit Glacier Nature Center. And we decided to take advantage of it since we don't have a rental car. We arrived at Seward on Friday 9/5 via Alaska Railway... more

John, Sorry you had a bad experience with us. One of the things about running a seasonal tour business in a small town like Seward is that at the end of the season, employees either split town and leave for home, or pick up hours at year round establishments in order to guarantee winter employment. This usually leaves us short-staffed...

Exit Glacier and surrounding forest was a great place to see. Be sure to take one of the Forest Ranger's free tours. They tell you all about the area and point out things you might not otherwise see. more

We originally saw this Exit Glacier ice hiking trip as an extra with our Aialik Glacier sea kayaking. Turns out, its the best experience I had of the 3 weeks in Alaska. Our adventure begin at around 9am in the morning when we got to the train wreck shopping center in Seward. The staffs are friendly and even made us... more

Exit Glacier Hike, approximately 5 hours. Guides were friendly and knowledgeable, the glacier hike was excellent. All necessary equipment was provided. Dress in layers as the temperature can change rather dramatically. more

We have hiked in Washington State for the last 20 years, Oregon, Arizona, CA, in Europe, Costa Rica, and Canada but glacier hiking was an incredible experience. Under the knowledgable and expert guidance of Dan (aka Captain Crevass), we had the opportunity to do this safely. A "must do" hike in Alaska. Shirley & Chuck more
