I've been up to Resurrection Bay twice now for a week at a time. Helping some friends build a cabin out in the bay. It's just astonishing to see the natural beauty. Some days the bay is rough, some days it is smooth. I've seen humpback wales, otters, seals, and porpoises all right there in the bay. Officially one of... More

What an incredible place, where magnificent mountains meet the mighty ocean and calm it into a picturesque scene of indescribable beauty

Cold, rainy but so worth it- just dress in lots of layers, bring warm hats and gloves. I went on the whale watching tour with Kenai Fjords Tours. We saw whales, seals, sea lions, otter, eagles and so many different kinds of sea birds I can't keep them straight. Being dressed warmly also allowed me to escape tired toddlers in... More

See my review of Major Marine. There is an abundance of all manner of wildlife. It will depend on the day, and your captain

I go to Seward a couple of times each spring. Town is nothing special but the setting is beyond spectacular. GO.

We went out with Kenai Fjords for the Fox Island Dinner Cruise. It was a great way to see Resurrection Bay. Your experience will depend on what you see on the cruise. We were very lucky to see a raft of sea otters, pod of orcas, dolphins and bald eagles. The boat is very easy to get around and smooth... More

Take a walk along the shore and feel the cool air ... enjoy the beautiful view of the ice and snow capped mountains. The harbor was filled with boats and it was wonderful to watch the birds fly in and out. Could have spent hours there!

There is something about massive glaciers, tall mountains and large bodies of water that incite the dreaming mind. Resurrection Bay is a pristine area, filled with wildlife and ample marine life to boot. You might see a moose or a bear in the woods, and if you're truly charmed, you'll see a sea otter swimming in the bay, clutching his... More
