Wow! This was truly an amazing experience. We learned so much about the culture of dogsledding, we had fun and we played with puppies. They picked us up and dropped us off at our lodge ( very convenient ), they lecture us about the dogs, their breed, what Iditarod is all about, why dogs love running it so much, how... More

I was trying to arrange a group tour while our ship was in port in Seward and every time I leave a message they don't return my calls. I would be concerned that if I did arrange a large group for this company they might not show up at the port! This is just a heads up for anybody trying... More

We booked a tour with IdidaRide in March and loved it. My girls, 6 & 7, loved getting to meet and pet all of the dogs who were all unbelievably sweet. The dogs were so excited to go. Spencer, our guide, was very knowledgeable and personable. He knew all the dogs by name and obviously loves what he does. The... More

We took this excursion at the recommendation of a friend who is an Iditarod alumni, it was great fun, it got a little challenging too. More

My husband went on this sled dog ride. We were running a bit late, not such a good cell phone area. They were calling us as we pulled into the drive. The young man, Spencer who was doing the ride that day as everyone else was getting ready for the Iditarod, was funny yet professional and very knowledgeable about his... More

The Seavey Sled Dog tour was absolutely the BEST thing we did in Alaska. We have three kids... ages, 15, 13 and 10 and we brought along my 70 year old "young at heart" mother who fell in love with Spencer!! :-) (thank you Spencer for towing around our Memere!! She LOVED it!!) The Seavey Family not only provided VERY... More

Looked up the Seavey family Ididaride dog sled rides. Family of 5 and 70 yr old Memere took off for adventure in Alaska. Absolutely more fun, dogs full of energy, very friendly and smart! (Driver admitted..."girl dogs are smarter than boy dogs - boy dogs included cause they're stronger than the girls"). Hmm, sounds like all species this Memere is... More

After 20 years in Alaska I should have known better. Typical Alaskan tourist business --- charge a high price and give as litte as possible. I understand that working dogs won't be fat but some of these dogs were in bad shape. The sleds were in terrible condition. One had a milk crate as a seat. They were falling apart... More

I went to Alaska with my mom (30yr old and 56yr old) and we love adventure. You get to see the dogs in the kennels, see puppies, learn about the gear and then take a ride. The ride is a quick 5min ride in a metal buggy/sled and it's pretty boring. Not too shabby though. Then you go to the... More
