Planning a return trip to the Big Island this July, and that means another charter with Captain Dee on the High Noon. Have fished with Dee twice in the last four years and our experiences have been great. While I'm still looking for that elusive marlin, we've caught wahoo, mahi mahi, and spearfish. If Captain Dee tells you that wahoo... More

We spent three days fishing with Trevor and Andrew. Trevor and Andrew did an awesome job of finding the fish. At times the fishing was slow but we never felt that Trevor and Andrew were not doing everything in their power to find the fish. We spent three days with these two guys, focused on fishing for Blue Marlin. We... More

Thank you for the positive post. Great group of guys and we all enjoyed fishing with you. Had a few chances at Blue Marlin and caught Ahi tuna, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi. Great going guys. Boat is going into annual drydock soon...and upgrading the interior boat comforts. Thanks again! More

Our day spent fishing with Trevor and Andrews aboard High Noon fishing boat was absolutely wonderful. From start to finish we couldn't have asked for a better day even if the fish had not been biting. But we did hook a nice size wahu (?) which just topped off a perfect trip. From start to finish, this was one of... More

I called "High Noon" prior to my trip to Kona, Hawaii. I had called a few places to book a fishing trip for 6. I had spoke to the Captain( name is irrelevant to me) I had a wierd feeling about the guy due to the fact he had a problem answering any direct question. I then hung up on... More

This gentleman (Earnie) email me on April 21 to reserve a fishing charter on April 30. I replied to his email and he then called me within five minutes of that email. After talking a bit, Earnie reserved April 30 for a 3/4 day charter and I responded with an email confirmation. When he arrived in Kona, I gave him... More

On April 25 2013 we embarked on the most amazing honeymoon adventure ever! In the lead up to the day Capt. Dee and owner of the High Noon fishing charter was very informative via email and confirmed even though we hadn't arrived in Kona yet, that we could privately book a full day charter! On arrival at the marina we... More

My wife and I chartered the High Noon on 4-17-13. The crew, Andrew and Trevor, were very nice, very fishing savy and very fun. We caught a nice sized yellow fin tuna and Ono (about 20 pounds each) and a few smaller tuna as well. The boat and the fishing equipment were both top notch. We even saw a pod... More

I took my dad, uncle's and brother in-law on our first Marlin trip while in Kona. We've fished all of our life so we figured catching something in just a 4 hr trip would be very low. But to our surprise my Dad landed a 250lb Marlin and my brother in-law landed a 25lb Ono (which we put on the... More

Terrible boat! The bathroom was filthy! Very dated and the exhaust fumes gave me a headache! The crew never changed lures and no attempts were made to catch fish. We drove around for 8 hours and caught nothing! We did see whales which was awesome however we didn't hire them to go whale watching! Hired a different boat two days... More

4/3/13 Unanswered questions after a bite less trip; Why was there no deck hand? Why were the lures on three rods unchanged for four hours? Why no live bait? Why no change is fishing tactics? Why was the down below a bloody mess? Why did the head reek? When will I pay $405.00 for a half day, and the price... More

I talked with this customer at length following the charter. Overall, this was a half day charter that was disappointed that they did not catch anything. First, I am very sorry he didn't catch fish. As any big game fishing person knows, there are times despite our best efforts, they fish just aren't biting. If you look at the reviewer's... More

Captain Dee - what a great day. My 11 year son caught his first Ono. Fish was almost as big as him. An experience he will remember forever!

This was a father/son combination. The Dads primary goal was for his 11 year old son to catch his biggest fish ever. Since his biggest fish was a trout, we more than exceeded expectations as this young man landed a fish almost as big as he was....certainly longer! We enjoy making dreams come true. Thanks for the positive review. Capt.... More
