Not just the decor, the information. The Visitor Center is in a gorgeous older building, built by the CCC. The exhibits are dated. The personnel are always uniformly awesome people, knowledgeable and friendly. More

Check your tatanka guide they give you when you pay admission to the Custer State Park. This visitor center offers panning for gold (this year at 9 am and 1 pm). We missed it but it sounds like a fun activity for kids. More

At the Peter Norbeck Memorial - a plaque wall with information on it that you can stop at during your drive through the Black Hills - while facing it, if you look behind you, you can see a view of Mt Rushmore with all 4 presidents in view through the pine trees! Neat view! More
