My 3rd time going to Custer. I love it!! Stopped here prior to Yellowstone...and because of it we were tired of seeing buffalo at Yellowstone!! Also a nice herd of pronghorns in the park. Worth the time if you are in the Black Hills. Nice short drive.

I loved this state park. A co-worked recommended it to me, and I was not disappointed. Lots of wildlife, Needles Highway, and close to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. I only wish I had more time to spend there.

We drove the loop around the park, and had a great time. The Needles highway was amazing, we were oohing and aahing around every turn! Lots of rolling hills but saw very little wildlife. A small herd of Buffelo near a small settlement and a few deer. I've visited in the past and have seen more animals so perhaps it was the time of day. We were here around 8 am.

Our two weeks at Custer State Park was amazing! The restrooms are clean and kept up well. The staff is friendly, the animals on the wildlife loop were incredible. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!!!

We are avid campers and we strongly suggest everyone camp at Custer State Park. Fee to get into the park is $15 that does not include your fee to reserving a campsite. Visiting the park during the last week of April was a wonderful experience. In spite of the record snowfall just before our arrival, temperatures were in the upper 60s.
