Chris conducted our tour and was helpful and patient for photographers of any skill level and any camera. The tour was part composition, part camera mechanics, and part French Quarter facts and history. Highly recommended!

Had the opportunity to take the workshop with proprietor Chris with small group and learned more about landscape photography in 3 hours then a lifetime of book reading. New Orleans is a photographer's paradise and this tour allows you to explore it to the max. Reason enough to stay up after the clubs for those great early morning shots.

Natasha was an excellent tour guide. A very comfortable three hour stroll around and about the streets, alleys (Pirate Alley!), and historical buildings of the Vieux Carré. Natasha is really friendly and patient with this camera newcomer but talking with her she has quite the background in all types of photography and could easily converse with even the more experienced... I have lived right outside of New Orleans all of my life, but on this photo tour I saw things that I have never seen before. I went into this tour not knowing anything about my camera and came out of knowing way more then I would have ever believe possible. You really get a personal lesson on how to... More

Natasha Sanchez was my tour guide and photography instructor. She did an amazing job at teaching me the fundamentals of taking good pictures and how to use my camera efficiently and effectively. American Photo Safari was very flexible at booking my tour and both Chris and Natasha were very professional and patient. A well worth tour!

Was a great morning! Spending uninterrupted time with a progressional photography was an excellent way to reaffirm things I already knew about my camera and photo composition. I, of course, learned new things along the way, too. Spending uninterrupted time with a person from New Orleans was a glimpse Into seeing the French Quarter in another way. It was a... More

Spending time with a real photographer was amazing. Learning how to look at things on a different way, meaning more professional, more technical was very interesting. Our tour leader, Chris was very knowledgeable, a true photographer. I would do it again anytime!

I enjoyed this tour with Chris. I thought it was a great mix of learning about taking good photos and sightseeing in the French Quarter. Chris gave us a nice mix of hands-on camera help, pointing out details in the Quarter that might be missed and history. I would definitely walk around taking photos with Chris again. He was very... Well almost. Lots of tips on how to use digital camera settings, how to shoot in light and shade, selecting subjects, color filters, etc. Plus a nice walk around the french quarter. May want to check the size of your group. Too many people with all different cameras makes for a slow tour.

I had taken the French Quarter and Garden District workshops with Chris back in October...and have just enjoyed another wander around the French Quarter with him - we even ventured over into the Marigny! - really appreciated his critique of my photographs and suggestions for improvement...love the idea of doing his new photography/eating/drinking workshop the next time i'm in town...
