The park was clean and quiet but didn't have much to do. The grass and trees along with lake were all well groomed and cleaned. Make sure to have other plans though like having a picnic or frisbee golf, because the things to do there is limited.

My husband and I are living in New Orleans for three months and have been to City Park about once a week with our dog and/or with visitors. The park is over 1300 acres and has some of the largest live oaks I've ever seen. It has so much to do and see that we've only covered a small portion...

Almost came across this attraction by accident when we took the wrong Trolley line but decided to ride it out. Acres and acres of parkland to ramble through. Ponds attract some lovely birds and the actual flower garden (additional fee) was beautiful. Perfect spot for formal photography - think weddings! Frequency of public transit (every 30 minutes) going by makes...

Only saw the park after dark -- we were there for the Christmas light show. That was beautiful! I would definitely go back to City Park again, in daylight, at a warmer time of year, to experience the other things they have to offer. I'd also want a car this time! We were staying in the French Quarter and took...

The park is so pretty. There is an art museum, amusement park, tennis, boating, golf, etc. We had beignets from the cafe that were really fresh and sinfully good while we watched live music on the patio. Check it out we loved it!
advice everyone to take a carriage.Picked up at your hotel and brought back.even the dog liked it. Saw Manning's mom in yard,Sandra B'S home along with Mark Twain, and then toured the cemetaries.Have to sy there were no dislikes
If the weather permits being outside, City Park is a great place to visit. We enjoyed both the Sculpture Garden and the Botanical Garden. We had a car. I am not sure how easy it is to get to without one.
As the park has a limited staff and budget, we volunteered a few hours in the park. The park is a great place to spend the day and lots of options for the family - whether it is storyland amusement park, ball fields, putt putt, etc...there is something for everyone to do.
1,300 acres is a lot of park and don't think just grass and trees although there is plenty of both. A great little restaurant, a small train and amusement park, Museum of Art, Sculpture Garden, ... You won't be able to see it all in a day but that's OK because you'll want to come back.
Great park,so much to see..take a bike ride.we went to the park as part of a trip, wish we had more time because I would definitely go there.its twice the size of Central Park - you would need a full day to enjoy it.
