Fantastic Christmas decorations. The guide was charming and very informative. I was very interested in the history of the house. Would have loved to see the third floor. But understand fire codes.

This is an amazing 1880's home if you are a fan of Victorian furnishings and architecture. The guides throughout the house are very knowledgeable on both the owner of the home and the history of the home. We visited during the Fashionable Victorian Christmas - every single inch of the mansion is decorated in holiday trimmings.

I really enjoyed touring this mansion (1881). The tour guide was friendly and informative. The mansion is fabulous! The only disappointment is that there are no original furnishings or fixtures. All was auctioned off.... what a shame.

I love to tour old homes and this is one of the prettiest old Victorian mansions I have seen. You can get a combo ticket with other interesting sites in Independence. It was well worth the time.
