Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a place to visit. It is unique in itself and triggers a lot of thoughts by its construction and the history behind. There is a meditation room which cannot be compared. In brief, a visit to the place is a must.

We went on Sunday and had to stand in hot sun and humid air , all sweating , for 3 hours. The line was 2 km long. Pl carry enough water , juices , cap and umbrella before going on this attraction. The ferry ride itself is not more than 15 minutes. The rock memorial is clean and nicely maintained....

Having been to several other places in Tamil Nadu - Vivekananda Rock gave me the impression as if the local government does not want this to be a tourist destination.

Tips:
1. Cover this before 11...

The huge huge line that led to the counter selling tickets for the ferry that would take us to the rock. It took four long hours to cover a distance of one kilometer. The ferry is run by a government agency and no hotel is allowed to buy tickets beforehand for their customers

This Memorial in the middle of the sea is an exhilarating experience. And when I think that I was at the confluence of three oceans and a continent, my mind blows out! Unlike many other memorials and tourists places, this place is very well maintained and clean. The boat journey from the shore to the island, on which it is...
