The aquarium was nice. Shows every 30 min and it was open really late. It is a really big place, large sharks, petting tanks. The kids had a great time. One of the best aquariums I have been to.

This was our second trip. I had to go back because the of the new dino area! Great aquarium. Super clean and great location!
Visited first thing when they opened on a weekend. By the time I was finishing it was getting crowded, but it was a great opportunity to see all types of salt water fish in their natural habitat. The facility was very clean through out and had a few places to sit, and rest as well as a moving walkway.
Clean facility and bathrooms. Aquariums are crystal clear with great fish. Moving walkway thru aquarium was fantastic with amazing up close encounters. This was next best thing to Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Great shows every hour. Take a jacket, it is a bit cool even when it's hot out.
We visited the aquarium on our recent trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was just my husband and myself and we really liked it and we are over 50. My husband was actually surprised to find himself enjoying himself because he thought it was just geared for kids. We didnt enjoy climbing up and down all the stairs outside but...

My kids enjoyed this aquarium. It was pricey compared to most aquariums but this is in a tourist spot so that is to be expected. There is a pretty cool dinosaur area where the kids can even "dig for dinosaur bones".
We took our son who is 2 to the aquarium and he loved it, would for sure go back again. We all had a great time!
loved it all .... Male seahorses were about to give birth, the sharks were amazing along with all the other attractions inside. Ripley's Aquarium was one of the only places that we went to that asked were we military (active or retired) and provided a nice discount.
The best part was walking under the aquarium, watching the sharks and other large fish swim over us! Simply amazing views! Certainly saw sides of large fish we would never see any other way because I can't swim (am afraid of the water) and my husband has physical limitations. Absolutely worth the price of admission.
My husband and I are generally pretty careful when it comes to tourist traps. We went to Gatlinburg knowing what we were going to do, and we didn't want to spend money on something we could do back home. Our hotel (Old Creek Lodge) gave us one free admission ticket to the aquarium, so with one adult already paid for,...
