We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up).Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. For the next fifteen miles, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. The river portion of your trip ends at historic Lees Ferry, gateway to the Grand Canyon. Here you will board your bus for the short ride back to Page, where your vehicle or other transportation awaits. « less

Driving the bus down through the rock tunnel to the bottom of the dam was a thrill and that was just the beginning! Our tour was 4-5 boats, but we had the advantage of being on the first boat, and our guide Brad pulled us out front and for most of the afternoon it was as if we had the... More

The sun was hot for our 1pm half-day float trip, but the trip was wonderful. Everyone at CRD was great. I bought a bistro bag lunch which I thought great value at $9.95. Scenery can't be beat. Our guide Ashlee had a bucket of cold water if anyone wanted to dip a shirt, bandana etc in to cool off. There... More

What a fabulous experience with the Colorado River Discovery, our guide Tawny was adorable and made the trip down the river most enjoyable! The passion she has made the trip even more special. She pointed out the wildlife as we traveled as well as a amazing stop to see the petroglyphs, discussing the history of the people who were involved... More

Thank you for a wonderful experience. The entire organization of the trip including providing lunch bags, check-in, boarding and un-boarding busses and boats was excellent and very professional. My German visitors were delighted and enjoyed everything from the smooth float and grandiose scenery to the knowledgeable presentation of factual information and refreshments on the boat. Meghan did an outstanding job... More

Smooth water rafting at the Colorado river in Page AZ. What a beautiful site, a masterpiece from our heavenly Father. Our river guide Levi Fry was awesome; informative, friendly, and sincere in his efforts to make sure we all had a good time and learned about the river and local attractions. A MUST adventure to do if you find yourself... More

The scenery was incredible as was the staff. Some wildlife that we spotted from the raft included Great Blue Herons, Red Face Ibis, Reddish Egrets, Canadian Geese, Mallards, Red Tail Hawks, and some wild horses. The stop at the petroglyphs was an added bonus. The trip began with a bus ride through a two mile tunnel in a restricted area... More

Colorado River Discovery was a fabulous experience for my family and I - the scenery was beautiful, but what makes this place great is the employee's passion. You can tell each and every person who works for this group is excited and happy to share their knowledge and experiences with you. I must give a shoutout to Tawny, our guide.... More

It was beautiful. Our guide was was super sweet and sang a couple of native songs. Wish I could remember her name. Make sure you have your camera, a snack, water shoes are good, a hat, sunscreen (have to have). They supply water and lemonade. I wish we'd gone in the morning because by afternoon it was pretty hot.
