This cemetery is best explored with a tour guide due to its history during the Civil War. Definitely worth a visit...... More

This cemetery has a story to tell - some of the headstones are lined against the back wall due to Sherman's troops moving them :( Lots of history. Lots of character. More

Quiet and peaceful in the middle of the busy historic district. Historical plaques and beautiful headstones. More

Very interesting to see the headstones along the back wall. Strange that you would be able to read some of the headstones, but other parts have been obscured due to exposure to elements. More

This is a must see also. So much history here. I would advise to research this a little before going to better understand the stories such as Renee when visiting. I so wish we had before and not after. More

This is like a park in the middle of town. People go in and just walk around. Some of the graves are so old that you can no longer read what's written on the stones. Be sure and stop by here if you find yourself in Savannah. More

Makes one wonder how many bodies are buried there with so few markers. Took a bunch of photos during our daytime visit and caught many orbs !!!! More

There is lots of history here, we made a fairly quick walkthrough but there are several informative historic markers. It's really interesting to see such old, often delicate headstones and hear about the cemetary's past. More
