Fun history of the area. The second floor has fun stories of the rough and rowdy old days. We've gone twice in different years. More

Museum is housed in former town hall. Astoria has fascinating history ... the Historical Society has done a nice job with displays and in maintaining the building. They also own and maintain the Flavel House. More

We spent a enlightening and entertaining 2 hours wandering around this old house converted into a museum. Who knew the history of Astoria was so full of amazing and interesting folks. It was really cheap (I think maybe $4 or $6) and the exhibits were creative and fun for adults to read and enjoy. More

My poor rating is probably not all fair. The museum was under major renovation when we visited. We had a discount coupon (after visiting the Flavel house; don't miss this one!) and were further discounted by the clerk at this establishment. Perhaps it will be better after the work is completed. This is the old Astoria City Hall. Another disappointment... More

The Heritage Museum was built in 1904 and is a beautiful, imposing building. Entrance to the museum costs $4 for adults and $3 for seniors, and is well worth the price. I would call this adult-oriented, though, as there are no exhibits that are interactive or "child friendly" for young children. There are a variety of exhibits about the history... More
