For anyone interested in cars and you're in the San Francisco area this is a must see. It's located at the end of a mall and it seems to be a big secret! My husband and I were the only 2 people walking around. Don't get me wrong - for us it was fantastic - we don't like big crowds!... More

Not just the cars themselves, which are pretty spectacular, but the building and the layout of the exhibits help create an air of "special". More

A fun place to take in the sight of mint condition autos of the past! The plaza offers beautiful waterfall and good eating establishments as well. More

I can’t believe that we lived in the Bay Area most of our lives and never took in the Blackhawk Museum. We actually had to come back as tourists to see this very upscale (Is that a worn out term or what?) collection of automobiles. The vehicles on display are some of the very finest available. The restorations are top... More

The autos displayed here are almost art objects. No need to love cars to thoroughly enjoy this place. Even the small children were entranced by these cars from the golden age of design. I can't imagine not being thrilled by what this place has to offer. Well worth the trip to Danville. More

Always a treat. Elegantly displayed fantastic historic cars. Have enjoyed it many times at night for dinner/dance occasions. Amust for out of town visators combined with the UC Berleley museum, a walk around the Plaza and a lunch at the Blackhawk Cafe outside in nice weather---you could be anywhere in the world other than this suburbia. There are many ways to build a car collection. It could be based around a complete line of a given make, owned by celebrities or the fastest/biggest/etc cars, or most innovative technical design etc. What I like about this museum is that it's really about the beauty of the cars. The way they select and present the cars is really... More

This is a must see place in the prettiest shopping area in the East Bay. You can visit the auto musuem or the UC Berkeley Museum and then stay for lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants located in the attached upscale shopping mall. The auto musem is often used for weddings and parties with it's beautiful marble decor.... More

Don't get me wrong, if you want to see some of the coolest, rarest, most expensive cars in the world then this is the place to go, but if you have a family I think its lacking in a few areas. The main display area is a dark and cold, I feel like it could be more inviting. The space... More
