Went on a two hour car tour of Gettysburg with our licensed battlefield guide, Tim Smith. He was very knowledgable and funny. He really helped us visualize and understand the battle and the impact on the town. One of these tours is a must while visiting Gettysburg. More

I thought I knew my Gettysburg till I had Jim take my wife and me around. He explained things that History Channel have wrong. Like Pickett's charge. Even my wife who thinks this type of stuff is boring, was listening and asking questions. I would recommend the three hour tour and have Jim explain Clup's Hill. I learned more from... More

If you are headed to Gettysburg and are looking for a great way to visit the battleground, give the Assoc. of LIcensed Battlefield Guides a call! We had a wonderful tour yesterday with Ted and would recommend him in a heartbeat. Ted was personable, knowledgeable, and did a wonderful job of explaining the battle to our family. He made what... We were visiting Gettysburg College and so this was our first trip to Gettysburg with the family - wife and kids ages 12, 14, and 16. I was a little uncertain as to how well this trip would go; but we decided to give the guided trip a go. Bruce was great. He drove the car and really got the... More

Unless you've got a re-enactor in your group or a history prof, this may be the best way to tour the battlefield for first-timers. "Ted" met us in the visitors center. He drove our car and narrated while we listened and gawked. The two-hour tour sped by. He got a bit theatrical at times, but the man is passionate about... More

This was an unbelievable deal and a wonderful experience at $45 for 3 hours - an enthusiastic, licensed guide who knows and loves every detail of Gettysburg. My boys (11 and 16) were skeptical before we went, but when our guide took the wheel of our own car and drove us through the battlefield experience, they were hooked, as I... More

It was my family's first time to Gettysburg. I called a few weeks ahead and booked a guide with this company. We got a guide who was very knowledgeable and very passionate about history. He drove our car and showed us the whole battlefield. He talked the whole time and encouraged questions. We stopped a few times and took pictures.... More

As an early Christmas gift, I got my husband a private 3-hour battlefield tour on Halloween morning and it was money well spent. He learned an enormous amount and had a fantastic time. If you are a first-timer to Gettysburg or if you've been many times as we have and are thinking about doing this, please do. You won't be... More
