Very interesting - perspective puts you in the middle of the battle - special effects help tell the story. Well done based on a 360 degree painting. Assists with understanding strategies and tactics.

We got this for free because it was included in our campground rate. But it is a good alternative to visiting the cyclorama (and...) if you have not a lot of time to get familiar with the battle. It gives a good impression what happend and it is not so crowded.

The diorama was large and interesting to look at. The battle was narrated with different parts of the diorama lighted to show where the parts of the battle took place. It was a little confusing to keep up with the different regiments and infantries, but the diorama was worth seeing.

I think that 20 years ago this would have been really neat, but it is basically is a large 3 dimensional layout of 1863 Gettysburg with slide show and a narrator telling the accounts of Gettysburg battles. The room is dark and the lights shine on the toy soldiers. There is some sound effects, but really nothing exciting. This could...

The Diorama is not so much to entertain you ,but to give a good understanding of the battle that happened here. May people tell us they have a better understanding of the events that happened , once they saw the Diorama. I was having a hard time with the details of the battle until I toured the diarama. We took our grand children here and they loved it as much as we did. It's also a way to see what Gettysburg looked like in the 1800s. We visited here in December and again in February as well and it never gets...

The diorama itself offers an amazing view of an enormous battlefield and allows the viewer to get a handle on the size of the field. You may want to consider starting your visit to Gettysburg with a trip to theDiorama, especially if you've not been to Gettysburg before. The narration that accompanies the Diorama is outstanding as well.
