Stroll along Baltimore Street until you reach the Square with Wills house, where Lincoln stayed the night before he pronounced his famous Gettysburg Address. Read the metal plaques all along the streets, describing the horror of the three days in July of 1863.
Stop in the Historical museum, then check out the Friends of Library used books shop across the...

I saw this on an episode of American Pickers and wanted to see it. Since my wife & I live about a half hour away, we go to Gettysburg fairly often. We have tried to see the museum a few times, but we have either been too late, or it wasn't open. Erik-the curator-states his hours were less regular during...

My husband and I are frequent visitors to Gettysburg as we live only about 30 minutes away. Even though we have been to Gettysburg on many occasions, we have missed a real gem here on our previous visits. This museum is a "must see" for any visitors to the area, especially to the battlefield. There are so many artifacts and...

A real jewel. There is so much to see here I know I will return on subsequent trips to Gettysburg. A nice variety of historical items in addition to some huge Gettysburg artifact collections. Many verified genuine historic items for sale as well.
This is not a rush in, rush out place to visit. It takes you on a pre-battle preparation. Then a day by day presentation of what happened on the 3 days of the battle. Awe inspiring. Can be a very emotional experience.

It starts off with Union and Confederate weaponry and moves on to SS uniforms, Kennedy's suit, Elvis' favorite rifle, and even Marilyn Monroe's bra. The entire...

There is something for everyone; not just Civil War memoriabilia. The museum is clean, organized and very interesting. You do not want to be in Gettysburg and miss the opportunity to see the Museum. The owner is great --- he is helpful, knowledgeable and loves what he does. Stop in! You'll be glad you did! Lon and Joey
This is truly a hidden gem in Gettysburg. It is a free (donations accepted) museum with so much to look at. It is right on the main street and there are so many interesting items. Tons of presidential memorabilia, rare and unusual items. Oddities such as hair from George and Martha washington, lots of elvis and jfk stuff too. Everything...

Not just Civil War related stuff, oh no.. How about some Elvis? JFK? Nazi Germany? Erik and crew have one of the most amazing collections I've ever seen and, the Museum is FREE to browse! And as for Civil War and Gettysburg related items, the Museums collection rivals the one found at National Park Service's Visitors Center in Gettysburg. You...
